Many of my friends asked me how to use caustic soda to clear oil and dirt at home?

Is it safe to use caustic soda at home?

What kinds of things can we use caustic soda for cleaning them?

Caustic soda, or sodium hydroxide, is a common commercial cleaning product, which turns certain substances, including grease, fats, oils, and proteins into a water soluble material.

Caustic sodas are generally used for heavy duty cleaning projects, such as clogged drains, storage equipment and preparation machines.

If you want to use caustic soda no matter at home or at work or even if you are a main user of caustic soda, please use Protective gloves and goggles, because Caustic soda is highly corrosive so proper safety measures should be taken to avoid contact with skin or eye.

Use of caustic soda in industries

As I mentioned at the first of article caustic soda has Cleansing property and due to these feature caustic sodas such as flakes form has many uses in different industries.

Industries like food, chemicals, Metal and plating, Pharmaceutical, Battery and acid neutralization industries, Pulp and Paper, Textile and leather etc.

So, industries mainly buy caustic soda in huge amount to use cleaning, and if u decided to use caustic soda at home note this:

Always wear proper safety equipment when using caustic soda. Caustic soda is dangerous when inhaled, ingested or when it comes into contact with skin or eyes. Use caustic soda in well-ventilated areas.

if you really have problem with cleaning some object like sink, plugholes, Hood filter and other objects that are very greasy and dirty which are hard to wash you can use caustic soda to remove that oil and grease from them.
